Monthly Food Distribution

Asking for assistance is never easy for anyone. The harsh truth is this: Approximately 13% of Florida residents live in poverty. The rate of hunger is even higher, at approximately 17%.

Dharma Inc. tries to meet this need with two initiatives.

  • Throughout the year, groceries are provided free of charge and confidentially to anyone in need, anywhere and of any origin or background.

  • Once per month, Dharma Inc. hosts a drive up pantry open to anyone in the community.

If you wish to discreetly request assistance, or do so on behalf of someone else, please email pantry@Dharmainc.net

We are happy to assist.

Creative Writing Contest (CWC)

CWC is one of the major initiatives at Dharma Inc. With humble beginnings as an 'essay contest' it has grown, in thirteen years into regional initiative with entrants from sixteen countries!

The premise of the CWC is to encourage expression, allow one to share experience in some cases and to earn a chance to be rewarded for it in grants.

As of 2023, more than $7,000 have been awarded in cash grants.

In 2022, CWC celebrated its eleventh edition!

Kartik Nahan/Tirth/Teerath

Kartik Nahan is one of the holiest days of the year. It falls on the Purnima (full moon) day of the month of Kartik.

It is the LAST Purnima/Full Moon/Satyanarayana Vrat Puja that Dharma Inc. conducts for the year.

On this day, we gather at the beach, early in the morning, perform meditation, Puja and then everyone gets the opportunity to make offerings directly to Lord Satyanarayana (Vishnu) and Ganga Ma (Goddess of the waters).
